What the sign means
Al-Uwairjan
Sadu-inspired machine embroidery. An original design drawn by us; not Sadu weaving and not a handwoven piece.
Motif meaning (Al-Uwairjan): A chain of red and white triangles, said to mean loftiness; some say dunes, piles of dates or birds' wings. Sources: Al-Najada, Folk Culture; Canavan, 2011; Encyclopedia of Crafts.

The embroidery designs shown are original designs prepared by Sadu by miniblank, inspired by traditional Sadu motifs. They are not Sadu weaving and not handwoven products. The brand claims no right in the traditional Sadu motifs themselves; its rights are limited to its own designs. The embroidery is machine-made.

Material and embroidery
100% heavyweight cotton, faded wash, oversized fit, dropped shoulders. The Al-Uwairjan design, machine embroidered in the centre of the chest in standard embroidery threads close to its own colours, within an area of about 10 × 10 cm. Dyed colour varies slightly from piece to piece; that is its nature.
Size
Cut oversized on purpose, with dropped shoulders: order your usual size. Sizes S to 3XL. In L the chest is about 59 cm across and the length about 77 cm; every measurement is in the size guide. Each piece is made for you, so check your size before you order.
Shipping and replacements
Made for you after you order; it usually arrives within 10–20 business days of your order, with free tracked shipping. The carrier may collect import tax or clearance fees on delivery. If your piece arrives damaged, defective, with an embroidery error or as the wrong item, write to us within 14 days of delivery with a clear photo and we will send a replacement or refund you.
Care
Wash cold, inside out. No bleach. Hang to dry or tumble dry low. Do not iron over the embroidery.
