FAQ
Why does delivery take 10–20 business days?
Because your piece is made only after you order. That way nothing is stored or thrown away, and every piece is new, for you.
Are the pieces Sadu weaving?
No. Al Sadu is a weave made by women on the loom; our pieces carry machine embroidery inspired by its signs, one sign in a design we drew ourselves on each piece. That is why every piece says "Sadu-inspired machine embroidery".
Where do the meanings come from?
From written sources on Al Sadu, named under every meaning and on the signs page. Meanings vary from weaver to weaver, so we write "is said to"; where the sources give no meaning, we give our own and call it "our reading".
Where are the pieces made?
A production partner that specialises in embroidery machine embroiders them at one of its facilities around the world, then ships them straight to you.
Are there customs charges?
The carrier may collect VAT or clearance fees on delivery under your country's rules. These are government or carrier charges, not Sadu's.
How do I choose my size?
Pieces are true to size, so take your usual size. To be sure, measure the chest of a piece you love laid flat and compare it with the size guide.
Do the colours match the pictures?
The pictures come from the production partner, made from the real piece's files. Dyed pieces vary a little in colour from one to the next; that is their nature.
How do I wash it?
Cold and inside out, no bleach, air-dry, and never iron over the embroidery. Caps are cleaned by hand. Each piece's care is on its page.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Yes, within 2 hours of ordering, before production starts. Write to sadu@miniblank.com.
Can I return or exchange?
Each piece is made for you after you order, so we don't accept returns or exchanges for size, colour or a change of mind. If a piece arrives damaged, defective or with an embroidery error, if it is the wrong item, or if the parcel is lost, we send a free replacement or refund you. Write within 14 days of delivery with a clear photo. Details in the replacements and refunds policy.
How can I pay?
Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and PayPal. Saudi mada cards that carry the Visa or Mastercard logo work like any Visa or Mastercard.
Where do you ship?
To Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman, free of charge.
Do you have sales?
No. Our prices stay the same, and we work in seasons: a drop with each season, and subscribers hear first.
What does "Available from" on the button mean?
The piece belongs to a coming drop. You can see it now, and order it from its drop's opening date, at 12:00 am Riyadh time. Leave your email under the button and we'll tell you the day it opens.
What does Sadu mean?
Al Sadu is the weave of Bedouin women, and in Saudi usage a name of the loom. The root means stretching the hand toward something, and the camel's stride; the warp, the loom's yarn, shares it. We are «سدو», without the article.
